Individual Therapy
Exposure and Response Prevention
I offer individual therapy using Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help children, adolescents, and young adults in Washington, DC and Maryland develop healthier thinking patterns, regulate emotions, and build practical coping skills. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each client’s unique strengths and needs.
Many of the young people I work with are feeling overwhelmed by the demands of school, constantly stressed about grades, or stuck in patterns of perfectionism that leave them exhausted. Some are so hard on themselves that even their successes don’t feel like enough. Others are juggling so much that they’re on the verge of burnout, and it’s taking a toll on their mood, confidence, and relationships.
I work with young people facing challenges like:
Childhood and teen anxiety
Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)
Depression and low mood
Grief, trauma, and stressful life changes
Autism spectrum-related challenges
ADHD and executive functioning
Identity exploration, including LGBTQ+ support
Friendship, peer, and family relationship issues
If you, your child, or your teen are struggling with repetitive behaviors, rituals, or intrusive thoughts that seem to come out of nowhere and just won’t go away, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) might help. ERP is the gold standard intervention for obsessive compulsive disorder and focuses on gradually facing fears without engaging in rituals.
Family Therapy
When one person in a family is struggling, everyone feels it. Family therapy provides a safe and supportive space where you can come together, talk honestly, and start to rebuild trust, connection, and understanding.
Whether you’re navigating stress, conflict, or simply feeling disconnected, family therapy can help you find new ways to support each other and move forward as a team.
Family therapy can be especially helpful for:
Ongoing conflict or tension at home
Behavioral challenges with children or teens
Communication that leads to more frustration than connection
Parenting challenges or co-parenting struggles
Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)
Parent Coaching
If your young child’s behavior feels overwhelming or out of control, you’re not alone. Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) is an evidence-based approach that helps strengthen your relationship with your child while teaching practical tools to manage difficult behavior.
PCIT is designed for children ages 2 to 7 and is especially helpful for kids with ADHD, anxiety, autism spectrum disorder, or a history of trauma.
It may be a good fit if you're facing challenges like:
Disruptive or unpredictable behavior
Frequent temper tantrums
Aggression or hitting
Defiance or difficulty following directions
When your child’s behavior feels like a daily battle, it’s completely normal to feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or unsure of what to do next. In parent coaching sessions, you’ll learn practical tools to better understand what’s behind your child’s behavior and how to respond in ways that actually help things improve.
Together, we’ll focus on helping you:
Notice and understand behavior patterns
Support and build on what’s already going well
Reduce tantrums, meltdowns, and power struggles
Build a calmer, more connected home where everyone feels more supported
